Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic Care

At Hockessin Chiropractic Centre, we provide advanced spinal correction and chiropractic adjustments utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques.  Chiropractic care has advanced through the years to the high level of help and expertise available today.  Many of the newest chiropractic techniques are safer, more comfortable, and more effective than ever before.  As a chiropractor who cares about utilizing the most advanced chiropractic techniques, Dr. Tamara Blossic has years of training, expertise, and experience in helping patients get pain relief for back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other related conditions originating from the spine.  Chiropractic care under a trained professional can also be used to prevent injuries and help achieve total health or wellness

Corrective Exercises

We teach our patients how to perform special "blueprint" exercises that can help strengthen and correct irregularities in your body that may be causing pain.  Many of these corrective exercises can actually be performed in the comfort of your own home to help improve the effectiveness of your chiropractic care and spinal correction plan.  In addition to skeletal misalignment, you may be experiencing pain that is caused by muscles and connective tissues which are out of their proper place.  Other types of pain such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches are caused by muscles and tissues that are being used improperly, causing injuries over time. In each case, targeted corrective exercises and stretches from our experienced chiropractors will help you feel good while also helping your body achieve balance and health.

Lifestyle Advice

Many patients come to see Dr. Tamara Blossic to address a specific pain symptom such as back pain, neck pain or headaches. While we will address each patient's specific condition with chiropractic care, it is also helpful to "coach" our patients towards achieving a healthier lifestyle. There may be certain activities that should be avoided or done differently to prevent  unintentionally aggravating particular health challenges. The goal of including lifestyle advice with a chiropractic care plan is to help each and every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle.  We want you to be able to participate in the activites that you enjoy most.  We recognize that every single one of our patients is a whole person and we use our expertise to help them reach total health and wellness.

Spinal & Postural Screenings

There is a saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Your spinal health is no exception. Posture and spinal screenings by our trained and experienced chiropractors can help reveal important health information.  Unlock the door to improved health and well-being!  To meet the needs and  to help the Hockessin community, we provide screenings at area malls, community events, health fairs, and places of employment.  Contact us today at 302-239-8550 to arrange a screening at your event or workplace.  We also have a posture class once a month at Hockessin Chiropractic Centre.

Your Body, Your Baby

Chiropractic for pregnant women?  Sure!  It is one of the best things that can be done for the mother-to-be and the baby-to-be.  If there is one group of people who need chiropractic checkups more than any other, it is pregnant women.

An excellent reason for seeing Dr. Tamara Blossic during pregnancy is that it is a drugless health care system.  Drugs, whether prescription or over the counter, can harm the growing fetus. The safest thing for a pregnant woman is to avoid all drugs and seek non-drug alternatives for health care.

Dr.Tamara Blossic is trained to adjust the spines of pregnant women.  Chiropractic care is safe to both mother and baby.

Infants and Children need Chiropractic

All infants and children need a healthy spinal column. All babies need to have their spines checked by a Chiropractor for the presence of vertebral subluxations.   An unhealthy spine can interfere with the normal function of the nervous system and may cause serious health problems in infancy and later in life.

Without spinal health, true health is impossible to attain.  That is why more families are finding a periodic chiropractic spinal checkup for their children as natural as any other regular childhood checkup. You get your child's hearing, vision and teeth checked periodically - why not include periodic chiropractic spinal checkups?

Dr Tamara Blossic has had speciality training in pediatric chiropractics. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

Laser.jpgCold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy stimulates cellular growth within injured musculosketal tissue for the regeneration of healthy tissue.  The overall effects are decreased pain and inflammation and increased range of motion.  Physical medicine practitioners have found a useful technology which can speed up and promote muscular and tendonous healing.  Low level laser therapy has been shown to improve collagen fiber organization, increase mitochondrial activity in muscular fibers, activate fibroblasts and macrophages, and stimulate angiogenesis.

  • An Apple a Day . . .
